Chef T's

The chef's story

Soles' mother loved cooking, and that inspired him to work his way up through the food industry. He spent more than a decade as an executive chef at a major hotel chain before a friend suggested he look at the building on US 431. He opened the restaurant around 2012.

Cooked to order

"The key is to cook foods to order," Soles has told local press. The kitchen makes fresh hamburgers, fish and chicken livers, and prepares vegetables such as sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, collards and turnip greens. Popular orders include gravy, chicken livers, home fries, pancakes, barbecue sandwiches, gizzards, fried green tomatoes, fried mushrooms, chicken tenders and cheeseburgers.

Cakes and cobblers

The restaurant has its own dessert maker, Melissa Burnett, and lists several cakes and cobblers each day.
